PackProof provides businesses with a digital evidence platform that links operational events (such as order preparation, packing and dispatch) with supporting evidence including photographs, video recordings and system metadata.

Our goal is to help businesses verify what left their premises and provide objective evidence when investigating customer, courier or supplier disputes.

  • Network Video Recorders (NVRs)
  • Security camera platforms

PackProof only accesses information necessary to provide its services and only after the customer has authorised the connection.

4. How We Use Information

  • Assist merchants in investigating disputes
  • Improve platform reliability

  • Detect misuse or unauthorised access

We do not sell customer data.

5. Video and Camera Data

Where PackProof is connected to a CCTV or camera system:

  • PackProof may download or reference video clips relevant to a specific event.
  • PackProof does not continuously monitor businesses unless specifically configured to do so.
  • Camera ownership and responsibility remain with the merchant.
  • Merchants are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws relating to CCTV recording within their jurisdiction.

6. Data Retention

Evidence may be retained:

  • for the period selected by the merchant;
  • while a dispute remains active;
  • where required by law; or
  • until deleted by the merchant.

Retention periods may vary depending on customer configuration.

PackProof is designed with security in mind.

Security measures may include:

  • Encryption of sensitive information
  • Secure API authentication
  • Role-based permissions
  • Audit logging
  • Access history
  • Encrypted communications
  • Cryptographic verification of evidence where applicable

No system connected to the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Customer Responsibility

Customers remain responsible for:

  • obtaining appropriate consent where required;
  • complying with local privacy legislation;
  • informing staff and visitors of CCTV use where legally required;
  • maintaining security of their own camera systems and networks.

9. International Data Transfers

Depending on customer configuration, information may be processed or stored outside the customer’s country.

Where applicable, PackProof takes reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • access your information;
  • request correction;
  • request deletion;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request export of your information.
